Mercury!

Mercury is the smallest planet and it is made of rock and metal.  Mercury is called an inner planet and it lays in the hottest part of our solar system.  Although it is the closest to the sun, Mercury is not the hottest planet.  It's orbit around the sun is only 88 Earth days.  Mercury can go around about four times before Earth will get around the sun once.  The weather on Mercury is very extreme.  During the day, temperatures reach almost 800 degrees but at night they drop down to negative 280 degrees.  We could never live on Mercury!
